Skye started out her career by modeling at the age of two. A few years later, Skye started out in movies at the age of four. Her mother Helen, an acting coach, was working with a student, and when the student left, Skye declared, "Mom, I can do better than her." And she did! She made her movie debut in Stephen King's TV miniseries "Storm of the Century".
But it was playing Mel Gibson's daughter in the 2000 blockbuster "The Patriot" that put her on the map with her heart-wrenching and emotional scenes.
After her success with "The Patriot", Skye went on to do various movies and TV shows, such as in 2001, "Blonde", where she appeared as Young Norma Jean [Marylin Monroe], alongside Drew Barrymore in "Riding in Cars with Boys" and as the cute and witty kidnapped daughter of Michael Douglas in the thriller "Don't Say a Word" in which Skye was a scene stealer once again.
In recent years, Skye has once again proved her talented acting abilities in movies such as "Beyond the Prairie", the romantic drama and Hallmark original "Love Comes Softly", with a reoccuring role in the hit TV series "24", and in the popular and award winning short film "The Vest".
In 2002, Skye appeared in the hit TV series "24" as Megan Matheson, in eight episodes, as well as movies such as "Firestarter 2: Rekindled" as a young Charlie McGee, all of which she did a brilliant job in.

The show had a two week run at the Charlotte Repertory Theater in Charlotte, North Carolina. After this, the play was to appear on Broadway, but was postponed.
In 2004, Skye appeared on the TV show "George Lopez" twice, portrayed a young Meg Ryan in "Against the Ropes", and spent time in New Zealand filming the 2005 movie "Boogeyman". As if that isn't enough, Skye appeared in three very popular TV shows in 2005, "House M.D", "Lost" and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation". 2006 was another busy year for Skye with multiple films added to her resume, and in 2007 she had a guest appearance on the TV show "Close To Home". Two films starring Skye were relesaed in 2008, "American Primitive" and "A Fix".
Skye's most recent endeavors include a role on a Web TV-Series, "Runaway Home" and the films "Good Day for It" and "Sick Boy".
